Elon Musk urges supporters not to donate to Wikipedia after it spent $50M on DEI: ‘Wokepedia'
2024-12-26
[NY Post] Elon Musk urged his supporters not to donate to the nonprofit that runs Wikipedia after the organization budgeted more than $50 million to spend on controversial diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) initiatives.

"Stop donating to Wokepedia until they restore balance to their editing authority," Musk wrote Tuesday on X, where he has nearly 210 million followers.

The Tesla mogul, and key adviser to President-elect Donald Trump, was responding to a post by the right-leaning commentator "Libs of TikTok," who shared a pie chart that showed 29% of Wikipedia’s $177 million budget for 2023-24 was targeted for "equity" and "safety & inclusion."

#5  Wikipedia washes leftist dictatorships. They washes them as "leaders"
Fidel Castro is de Cuban "leader" for wikipedia.

For Augusto Pinochet is instead correctly the Chilean Dictator.

#4  Salvation Army* and Marines Toys-for-tots are pretty much my only Christmas givings (besides Rantburg) based on $/% spent on need. They're both awesome.

* Year-round donations

#3  Make Wikipedia Useful Again!

Speaking of woke, how is the Salvation Army doing these days? I am seeing the red kettles outside grocery stores, but no one is manning them ( or is that personing them?)

#2  Maybe he can drive the price down and buy it. That'd make heads explode!

#1  agree with Musk

Wikipedia leans to the left and toward some bad actors. On the vast majority of subjects there is no problem. On some, there is a problem.

example, the Wikipedia article on Antioch has absolutely nothing about the annexation of Antioch by Turkey in July 1939
