Harris slurred her words as she encouraged a room full of Democrat activists and influencers to keep fighting last week.
Harris partied last weekend at her residence at the Naval Observatory.
''Our work continues and so please everyone, look I know this election was not what we intended, certainly not what we wanted. I know there's a lot of emotion that we are all feeling right now. I get it,'' Harris said cackling.
''Please I have to just, I have to insist, that please do not let your spirit or your purpose be defeated,'' Harris added. ''Try and get some good food on the table, you know and you go to other peoples' house—'' Harris said.
''You answered a calling to serve in so many ways, so in this season it is very important to make first room for you, for us that we celebrate each other, that we celebrate our work that has had and will continue to have meaning, ours has been the work that is intentional about building community, ours has been the work that has been intentional about building coalitions,'' she said.
