The news brought competing Hamas and Fatah forces to the crossing checkpoint for an epic face-making and hollering contest... said on Tuesday that the group was open to discuss a deal that secures an end to the war in Gaza and a complete Israeli army pull-out.
“The movement has confirmed it is open to any deal or ideas that ends the suffering of our people in Gaza and achieve a permanent ceasefire, and the occupation’s withdrawal from all of Gaza Strip,” he said in a televised address. He added that any agreement must end the blockade of the Strip, allow unrestricted relief aid and the reconstruction of Gaza, and achieve a swap of Israeli hostages in Gaza for Palestinian security prisoners in Israel.
