At least 1 dead, 6 injured in mass shooting at Rochester, NY park

[NYPost] At least one person is dead and another six people were injured when gunfire erupted inside a crowded Rochester park Sunday evening, according to police.

A victim in their 20s was killed while another person was left in life-threatening condition following the shooting at Maplewood Park around 6:20 p.m., Rochester police said.

Another five victims were also taken to the hospital with minor injuries in the upstate New York city, authorities said.

#5  But given, the USA has a narrow, select part of its population that uses firearms for criminal and gang activities. We can expect to hear more BAN THE GUN Nonsense used against Honest Citizens. Or, should the justice system again address the narrow, select part of the population uses firearms for person on person violent acts.

Face it, Criminals will always have access to Firearms and Weapons and dictatorships will always seek to Ban, limit and/or demand detail tracking of Private ownership.

How about bringing back the Firearm crime laws with serious jail time, in serious but humane conditions like hard labor for public works along the side of the road for public display? Using prisoners for public works duties would offset their $36K per year housing cost. Plus, send a clearly displayed msg. "Go to jail and they'll put your butt to work".

How about bringing back a timely applied Death Penalty with a streamed line appeals process? To get a less than 5 year murder to firing squad timeframe for murderers?

Because offering Life with parole in 25, with free living in a HVAC controlled building, free TV, games, food and Tech/college education is not a deterrent.

BTW:
Why has the USA Justice System stop reporting firearms deaths and demographics since 2021? Hummmm! When the O'Biden-LSD Regime took control?

The last figure for firearm related murders/suicide, we have, was for 2019-2020 @ 20,958 per US population of 342,000,000 = 0.0061280%.
6 per 100k in a nation with over 466 million Firearms.

Which works out to 1 in 22k firearms is used in a murder or suicide.

Compare that to Vehicles.
Of the 286.9 million cars in the USA, 42,795 persons were killed by vehicles in 2022 or 0.014916%, which is 143.40+% more than firearms.

OH! That's right, the Left is trying to ban GAS Vehicles also now.
