[RedStar] We know very little about the Russo-Japanese War of 1904-1905, and practically nothing good. This also concerns such an event as the defense of Port Arthur by Russian troops and naval forces – a port city on the southeastern tip of the Liaodong Peninsula on the Yellow Sea. Meanwhile, the Russian garrison of the fortress fought steadfastly and selflessly for 11 months, but in later times it was not customary to remember the military valor of our compatriots.
