Principal Director for Europe and NATO Policy Andrew L. Winternitz hosted the 2023 U.S.-Republic of Cyprus Defense and Security Cooperation Dialogue on June 1, which was the second meeting that institutionalized this framework. The Cypriot delegation was led by Brigadier General Charis Georgiou, head of the Republic of Cyprus Minister of Defense’s military staff.
During the dialogue, the delegations reviewed progress on security and defense cooperation to date.
