Thank you, FAA spokesperson, who did not mention (obscured?) the fact that the same controllers who work Ground control (under whose aegis the subject aircraft were operating) are routinely rotated through Ground and Air [Traffic] many times during their shifts. Ground and ATC work in the same cab, while Departure is typically relegated to "the basement."
I'd like a little more data regarding the controller who was working the aircraft during the gate operation. |
