[IsraelTimes] The Israel Defense Forces says troops foiled an attempted stabbing attack near Nablus in the northern West Bank, killing the alleged assailant.According to the IDF, troops of the 7037th Reserve Battalion, operating at a checkpoint near the West Bank city, identified a suspect approaching them.
As the soldiers attempted to question him, the suspect drew a knife and began to approach the troops, the IDF says.
The soldiers in response opened fire, killing the man.
No soldiers are hurt in the incident, the IDF says.
