B-21 Raider takes to the skies...
2023-11-11
[ZH] Two weeks after images posted on Reddit showed a pre-production B-21 Raider stealth bomber taxiing at Air Force Plant 42 in Palmdale, California, Bloomberg confirmed Friday morning that the next-generation stealth bomber has taken flight for the first time.

Northrop Grumman Corp.'s B-21 Raider is in flight testing, a step in the test campaign managed by the Air Force Test Center and 412th Test Wing's B-21 Combined Test Force, according to an Air Force spokesperson. -Bloomberg

Here's a video posted on the social media platform X showing the B-21 flying across the sky.

#4  Hopefully we've resolved that sensitive coating issue. Perhaps some Turtle Wax?

#2  Similar in that they are bat wing. You might note the B-21 does not have the "sawtooth" trailing airframe lines of the B-2. This plane is also cheaper and less problematic to manufacture in serious quantities. Needless to say, its internals apply lots of lessons learned from the over 40-year-old design of the B-2.

#1  Reminds me of the B-2.

Maybe this is the B-2.1 model?
