[MAIL] The so-called 'porn Dem,' Susanna Gibson, lost her Virginia House of Delegates race Tuesday, after webcam videos of her having sex with her husband were exposed.
Republican businessman David Owen bested Gibson by less than 1,000 votes, final results showed.
Gibson's race was one of the most watched during Tuesday's off-off-year elections after she became embroiled in an eyebrow-raising scandal involving livestreaming sex acts with her husband for tips.
Her district was also rated one of the seven most competitive in the commonwealth, as Republican Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin tried to retain the House of Delegates and flip the Democratic state Senate, in order to enact a 15-week abortion ban.
While Democrat Gibson fell short, so did Republican Youngkin, who lost control of the House of Delegates and failed to flip the state Senate, meaning he'll be facing divided government the next two years, killing any sort of conservative agenda. |
