The situation in the area of ​​the village of Velika Novosilka in the south of Donetsk region has stabilized. The occupiers in this direction are on the defensive. This was reported by the British Ministry of Defense in "X".
"In the area of ​​Velika Novosilka, located west of the city of Vugledar in Donetsk region, it has become relatively quiet over the past four weeks, and the fighting has become much less intense since its outbreak in June-July 2023," the intelligence agency notes.
During the summer, Ukraine managed to liberate at least 125 square kilometers of territory on this axis.
At the same time, the offensive actions of the Armed Forces chained the units of the 36th and 5th combined armies of the Russian Federation, as well as the landing forces, preventing them from reinforcing other areas. Intelligence agencies believe that within the next six weeks, Russia is unlikely to withdraw troops from this axis.
"Although this axis has stabilized, Russian troops will probably remain in a defensive position to protect themselves from future offensive operations by Ukraine. It is unlikely that there will be a significant outflow of Russian forces from this direction in the next six weeks," the British Ministry of Defense notes.
The Defense Forces of Ukraine continue to conduct an offensive operation in the Melitopol direction and offensive actions in the Bakhmut direction. Our soldiers inflict losses in manpower and equipment on the occupying troops, establish themselves on the occupied borders and exhaust the enemy.
