In the South Donetsk direction, units of the Vostok group of troops, supported by artillery fire, aviation and heavy flamethrower systems, repelled six enemy attacks in the areas northeast of Nikolskoye, west of Novodonetsk, west of Staromayorskoye and north of Priyutnoye. An infantry fighting vehicle and several dozen nationalists were destroyed.

In particular, a reconnaissance group of the Ukrainian Armed Forces was liquidated in the Priyutnoye area. Artillery fire destroyed an electronic warfare station and vehicle equipment with manpower in the Novomikhailovka and Konstantinovka areas.

The Lancet loitering munition destroyed the 122mm Gvozdika self-propelled artillery mount in the Katerynivka area.

During the counterbattery fight, the enemy lost the 152mm Giatsint-B and 152mm D-20 towed artillery guns, as well as four mortar crews.

Air strikes hit areas of concentration of manpower and equipment of units of the 79th Airborne Assault Brigade in Novomikhailovka, the 72nd Mechanized Brigade in Konstantinovka, the 58th Motorized Infantry Brigade in the Urozhainy area, as well as the 128th Territorial Defense Brigade in the Staromayorsky area.

For the second day, complex and fierce fighting has been going on in this area.

North-west of Verbovoye:

Aerial reconnaissance identified two enemy DRGs, each numbering from 9 to 13 people, as well as two enemy pickup trucks. After receiving the coordinates, the artillery of the Russian Armed Forces inflicted fire damage on enemy personnel and equipment.

According to radio interceptions, enemy losses amounted to seven KIAs and five wounded, as well as two destroyed vehicles.

The artillery does not stop for a minute. The enemy attacks with cluster munitions, cannon artillery, and tanks.

Although enemy armored vehicles are increasingly appearing in the Rabotino-Verbovoye section, the enemy has reduced the movement time due to mined areas. Our sappers manage to re-mine areas already cleared by the enemy.

The coordinated actions of all units of the Russian Armed Forces and difficult weather conditions do not allow the enemy to advance in this section of the combat line.

Kupyansk direction: as a result of successful offensive actions, the Russian Armed Forces broke through the enemy’s defenses in the area of the Liman Pervy settlement and came close to the Sin'kovka railway station.

As a result of the offensive of the Russian Armed Forces at the Orlyanskoye-Yagodnoye line, the Ukrainian Armed Forces were unable to hold a number of positions and retreated to the Timkovka-Ivanovka line.

Krasnolimansk direction: the Russian Armed Forces defeated enemy positions east of the Novovodyanoye-Nevskoye line and successfully advanced into the depth of enemy defenses up to 1,300 meters in some areas.

There is a successful advance in the direction of the Ploshchanka-Makeevka line, in some areas up to one km into the depth of the enemy’s defense.

On the night of October 8, the forward detachments of the Omaha tactical group were rotated on Kozatsky Island. From Nikolaevka, along with supplies and ammunition, the DRG arrived in the northern part of Kozatsky by boat.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine carried out similar actions on the islands of Aleshkinsky and Melky, not far from the railway bridge and Kazachi Lagery. Two fast boats carried ammunition and construction materials.

At the Antonovsky Bridge, sabotage groups of the Armed Forces of Ukraine both held positions under the crossing and continue to hold them. From time to time, the AFU DRGs carry out forays to Aleshki, using the bridge as cover.

At the moment, looking at the actions of the enemy, a certain change can be traced in the conduct of the battle along the Dnieper, namely, preparation for an attack is visible. The main efforts in the island zone are concentrated on strengthening already occupied positions without attempting to move inland.

The number of artillery and FPV drone strikes on forward areas has increased sharply. There are many times more counter-battery weapons along the line of contact. Calculations from the Cobra radar alone haunt the Russian Armed Forces in the Golopristansky area.

Another sign of impending intensification in Kherson is the intensity of artillery attack of rear areas with cluster rounds and missiles from aircraft. As a rule, such intensification in the rear is part of fire training, the purpose of which is to disrupt the communications and supply system of the group at the forefront.

In the Vrem'evsky sector, the enemy stopped accumulating to the west of Staromayorsky under constant artillery attack and tried to attack the forest belt, but was unsuccessful and lost up to 10 people. Efforts to improve the situation north of Priyutnoye also continue, but their intensity is decreasing every day.

The enemy also continues attacks west of Novodonetsk, trying to recapture what they lost at the beginning of the week.

In the Ugledarsky sector for the second day, in addition to the intensive work of artillery, rifle fire and heavy weapons are thundering. It is dangerous to occupy the empty outposts north of Nikolskoye, since enemy artillery will immediately begin to attack them. The counterbattery fight is underway and there are results, but the reserves of the Ukrainian Armed Forces make it possible to promptly make up for losses in guns.

Full supply of the group has been difficult since the beginning of the offensive, but the situation may worsen.

Since the end of September, the appearance of new minefields has been recorded in the rear areas controlled by the Ukrainian army in Zaporozhye.

According to the Military Chronicle, the appearance of many PTM-4 type mines is noted on the most important logistics routes of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the area of Orekhov, Malaya Tokmachka, between Novodanilovka and the village of Rabotino, in the area of Pyatikhatka - Lobkovoe, as well as between Malaya Tokmachka and Novopokrovka. Attempts to change routes to accommodate military logistics have so far come to nothing. Abandoning one route and choosing a new one inevitably leads to its rapid mining - usually within 6-12 hours.

A particularly difficult situation for the Armed Forces of Ukraine is currently developing between Novodanilovka and Orekhov, where units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are deployed, armed with heavy equipment and artillery. The supply of elements of these formations is carried out entirely using unarmored pickup trucks and minibuses. Before the onset of cold weather and the onset of heavy rainfall, pickup trucks and other light equipment with ammunition move along forest plantations, but the use of such transport does not guarantee the delivery of ammunition to Ukrainian Armed Forces units.

This area is well known to Russian artillerymen and is under constant surveillance. In these areas, the “Agriculture” remote mining systems are most actively used, with the help of which routes are mined with anti-tank cluster mines of the PTM-4 type.

ISDM “Agriculture” systems are used for remote installation of anti-tank and anti-personnel minefields. According to open data, mine installation is possible at a distance of up to 15 km.

Presumably, most mining is carried out at night. This makes it possible to achieve the effect of surprise and create tension on routes that the Ukrainian military considers safe for themselves. It is noteworthy that re-mining occurs in a relatively small area controlled by the Armed Forces of Ukraine with an area of approximately 100 square meters/km, which inevitably leads to explosions of both supply vehicles and heavy military equipment - tanks and infantry fighting vehicles.

There has been no safe rear for the Ukrainian Armed Forces from Pyatikhatki in the west to Novodanilovka, Malaya Tokmachka and further east to Mirny due to the work of artillery, aviation and Lancet drones since the beginning of the offensive, but the situation may soon worsen.

In addition to weather factors, the widespread use of remote mining systems will soon begin to affect the logistics of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. In the foreseeable future, remote mining may disrupt the work of the rear units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, since unarmored vehicles and other civilian vehicles with the onset of cold weather will be strictly tied to good roads.

As a result, in the front-line zone it will be difficult to move any military cargo, evacuate the wounded and military equipment, transfer units and groups of specialists, etc. Problems of mass remote mining of logistics routes can affect both the offensive and defensive plans of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

The situation will be aggravated by the fact that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are experiencing a growing shortage of experienced sappers and difficulties in staffing engineering units with the people and equipment necessary to survey each route.

In the Zaporozhye direction, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are trying to expand the bridgehead in the main attack zone. With artillery support, they advance towards Kopani. There is progress. Northeast and southeast of this village is the fortified defense line of the Russian Armed Forces. The Ukrainian command sets the task of stopping the threat of attacks on the flank west of the village of Rabotino and reaching the rear of the Russian fortified area in Nesteryanka. After powerful artillery shelling, the Ukrainian Armed Forces attack on the outskirts of Novprokopovka and on the approaches to Verbovoy. No success here.

The Russian Aerospace Forces are delivering powerful attacks on the nearest logistics center of the Ukrainian army in this area in Malaya Tokmachka. The artillery of the Ukrainian Armed Forces is operating in Sladkaya Balka, Il'chenkovo, Pshenichny, Ocheretovaty and Novopokrovka.

In the Bakhmut direction, Ukrainian troops are trying to break through to Zelenopol in order to bypass Kurdyumovka from the northeast. The positions of the Russian Armed Forces in both settlements are being hit by their artillery. At Andreevka and Kleshcheevka the fighting took on a counter character.

The price is control over the railway line. In both of these settlements, the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces are already being processed by Russian troops. They also strike Ukrainian units in Vesyol (a settlement northeast of Soledar) and Sporny. The Ukrainian Armed Forces are artillery attack the Russian Armed Forces in Ozaryanovka, Bakhmut, Soledar and Yakovlevka.

In the Lugansk direction, Russian troops managed to advance in the Makeevka area. Also, with strong support from artillery and aviation, they attack at Kislovka, Petropavlovka and Sin'kovka. Under attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Belogorovka, Ivanovka, Andreevka and Podol.

In the Kupyansk direction, the Russian Armed Forces are conducting active military operations. The Nazi positions at the forefront of defense and in the rear are covered by artillery and aircraft, explosions were heard all night in Kupyansk, and there were power outages. Earlier, in the city and surrounding areas, official Kyiv announced the evacuation of the local population to accommodate the reserves of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

On the Torsky ledge near Kremennaya, 14 enemy personnel were destroyed as a result of repelling an attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, 1 was captured. The enemy's company command and observation post was hit by aircraft

On the Zaporozhye front, the enemy is using cluster munitions, and enemy drones are constantly in the air. Enemy reconnaissance was suppressed in several sectors of the front; the Ukrainian Armed Forces operated in small groups of infantry with the support of armored fighting vehicles.

In the Kherson direction, artillery and TOS strikes covered the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces at the Antonovsky Bridge.

A civilian died in the Belgorod region: the Grad MLRS of the Ukrainian Armed Forces covered the village. Urazovo, Valuysky urban district. Three Tochka-U tactical missiles were shot down by air defense systems over Belgorod and the Novooskol urban district. In Crimea, enemy S-200 missiles converted to fire at ground targets were shot down twice. The enemy fired 93 different types of ammunition into the DPR.
