#1 It is well to remember that in May 2015 the Islamist ISIL force in Hasaka province attacked the then Syrian-held Hasaka city. It was the Kurdish YPG that belatedly entered the battle that rescued the Syrian army and a month later a defeated ISIL was pushed out of Hasaka city. Since then, and the reduction of ISIL, the Turks have been playing their game with Hasaka and Rojava for months. It is not like the Kurds to hold their fire for much longer. |
