Shocking moment communist revolutionaries burn American flags outside Jason Aldean's Chicago concert while mocking his controversial hit song | ||
2023-09-11 | ||
'Guess what Jason (Aldean)?' one of the activists Rafael Kadaris told the Chicago Tribune. 'We will try that in a small town. We will try that in a big city. And we will try it right in front of your concert.' About 20 people gathered outside Credit Union 1 Amphitheatre in Tinley Park as part of a protest led by Revolution Club Chicago, a far-left group that calls for a revolution against capitalism. Revolution Club activists burned the Stars and Stripes before police declared their presence to be 'an unlawful assembly' and that their activism 'alarmed and disturbed others.' They also referenced Aldean's recent 'anti-woke' hit 'Try That In A Small Town,' where the country star condoned actions of far-left groups during the George Floyd protests. Try that in a small town.

#15 My wife has family in Meriwether Co. Georgia. We will gladly invite to to a small with alot of hunting clubs were they can redemonstrate their flag burning. I don't think they would be so smug afterwards in their statements, if they could make any. |

#14 Seems like it would be braver to burn the flag when the concert is getting out. |

#13 #9 100% correct. The Proof to this theorem is the attempt to burn a BLM flag in front of any Fed building. |

#11 The old formulation is "Your right to swing your arm around ends when you strike me while doing it." That is still a good rule of thumb, if you will. Problem is, from the NFL to the streets, the officials seem to take a harder line against retaliation over that taken by the initiating offensive actor. I'm not interested in being assaulted. I'm even less interested in being jailed or sued for trying to teach someone assaulting me some manners. If the authorities are going to put "making an example" of people (see: J6 defendants) over busting actual criminals, they can find some other volunteers. I'll pass. |

#10 Activist Rafael Kadaris crossed the line, with threats: 'We will try that in a small town. We will try that in a big city. And we will try it right in front of your concert.' No longer 'just' a protest, lock these suckers up |

#9 SCROTUS declared flag burning to be "protected speech" in Texas vs Johnson in 1989. (Panhandling and nude dancing have also been found to be "free speech," so YMMV) It seems today, as long as your speech is simply stupid or anti-American, it's all good, as far as the authorities are concerned. Let your speech question beloved deep state dogmas or woke "truths," and you are - tada - an "enemy of the state," engaged in "hate speech, disinformation or dangerous propaganda." |

#8 /\ Too late for any of that. I recommend an unassisted marathon swim from Duck, NC to Blackpool in Lancashire, England. |

#7 The reason they burned the flag is they are frustrated. I have some advice for the guy burning the flag. Lose the Man Bun, stop taking blockers and get on testosterone, go to the gym, lose the victim attitude, become a man instead of a fem, then you will meet a girl and with any luck get laid. |

#3 Meanwhile in CA, members the Revolutionary Communist Party interrupted a schoolboard meeting where the board passed a parental notification policy aimed at protecting kids from the alphabet groomers. Noted that both the groups in CA and Chicago are wearing nearly identical tshirts. But yeah, COEXIST! (puke) |
