[NPASyria] A drone of the Syrian government forces targeted on Monday night a house in Daraa Governorate in southern Syria. The targeted house was in the town of al-Yaduda, west of Daraa, and it was owned by former leader of the Syrian opposition, Amjad al-Mez’el, a local source told North Press. The attack resulted in material damage without causing casualties, the source said, adding that this was not the first time where the government forces use drones. Daraa Governorate has been living in a state of chaos since the government forces entered it in 2018, with liquidations and robberies taking place on a daily basis, in addition to turning into a hub for drug trafficking. In July 2018, the armed opposition factions and the government forces reached a ceasefire agreement mediated by Russia in the opposition-held areas of Daraa. Under the deal, the opposition factions agreed to hand over their weapons in exchange for staying in Daraa, while those who opposed the agreement, they were sent to Idlib, which is under the control of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham, formerly al-Nusra, before that it was called something else ![]() (HTS, formerly al-Nusra ...formally Jabhat an-Nusrah li-Ahli al-Sham (Support Front for the People of the Levant), also known as al-Qaeda in the Levant.
