fighter has committed fratricide in the province.
The tragic incident occurred on Wednesday, July 26th, in the village of Khalazaie, situated in the heart of the province.
The victim, identified as Zandi, lost his life after confronting his brother to demand repayment of a debt.
An eyewitness, who prefers to remain anonymous, recounted the event to Hasht-e Subh: "The situation unfolded when Zandi confronted his brother, who owed him money, demanding that he repay the debt. Enraged by the confrontation, the brother, who was in possession of a gun, tragically shot and killed Zandi."
The accused, currently serving as a Taliban fighter at the Baghram Airfield camp, managed to flee the area after the crime.
The source further revealed that Zandi had no children, and his brother allegedly committed the murder to take control of his inheritance.
As of now, local Taliban officials in Parwan have not released any statements regarding this distressing incident.
It is noteworthy that criminal incidents have been on the rise in Parwan in recent days.
Experts attribute the surge in such events to the rampant poverty and unemployment prevalent in the region.
