He replaces Eric Cantor, who got whupped because his politix are like Kevin McCarthy's... on Saturday said he is directing House committees to investigate whether federal funds are being used for "politically motivated prosecutions" amid reports that former President Donald Trump ![]() could be indicted as early as next week. "Here we go again — an outrageous abuse of power by a radical DA who lets McCarthy was reacting to indications that the Manhattan District Attorney's office is potentially preparing to issue an indictment for alleged hush money payments Trump made as a presidential candidate in 2016. |

#3 The first comment was mine. I got delisted. He will definitely try to paint it as a felony. He can do that for the grand jury and for the trial assuming that the judges and jury pool are terrible. The appellate process will rupture the structure of Adam’s piñata case. His belief is that he will remain the man that indicted Trump, a hero among the lefties. His belief assumes that the current checker game continues by the same rules. Andrew Jackson overturned the checker board. That is my expectation. I have no idea when it will happen or how the game will change. I don’t expect the jurisdictions where the law is fudged to continue. |

#2 I reckon if the DA charges DJT - it will be felony charges. I read somewhere that the misdemeanor charge can be up grade IF/IF it was in furtherance of another crime (or something like that). No way the DA does all this for a misdemeanor IMHO. |

#1 Today I learned that the statute of limitations runs out on misdemeanors after 2 years. The ongoing efforts of corrupt people to screw the system since Donald Trump was elected in 2016 has been sort of a masters class in civics and law for interested Americans. |
