| Any living tissue can develop cancer. And cancer from another tissue in the body can metastasize anywhere in the body. So the fake cervix can become cancerous — just not with cervical cancer — and because it is hidden from the patient, getting a doctor to check that everything is as it should be is simply good hygiene.
