Bills-Bengals Game Suspended After Player Collapses, Given CPR on Field |
2023-01-03 |
[PJ] Original article: On Monday Night Football, it was a harrowing scene at the game between the Buffalo Bills and the Cincinnati Bengals. It was a routine play: Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow threw a pass to wide receiver Tee Higgins, and safety Damar Hamlin tackled Higgins. Damar took a couple of steps and collapsed. Athletic trainers rushed to Hamlin’s side and began to assist him. Staff called a stretcher out as a hush fell over the crowd, players, and coaches. "The entire Bills sideline surrounded Hamlin as he received care," reported Alaina Getzenberg of ESPN. "Multiple Bills players were visibly distressed and comforting each other as he was cared to. Many had to turn their backs to not watch Hamlin in distress." Medical personnel performed CPR on Hamlin, reportedly for nine minutes, as players for both teams knelt to pray.

#11 they are ed, and I'm glad to say Besoeker I don't have to worry about the jab, really can't believe so many smart people here fell for that bullshit. |

#8 All over my feed earlier, now nothing but 3rd tier mentions about game consequences - doesn't look good for the young man. Didn't look like an egregious or even notable hit until he flat loses conscientiousness mid sentence. Maybe he has prior history, don't know, but it wasn't like a goal line stand tackle or play at the plate. Players on the field were surprised too. Very strange. |

#7 Sad. Seems like he’s one of the rare ‘good guys’ in the Negro Felon League. Probably not due to the jab, more likely from the blow to the chest (not unheard of in baseball, lacrosse hockey), but given all the Covid ‘misinformation’ we will never know. Still critical at this point is of great concern- typically recovery is quickly obvious or it doesn’t happen. |

#5 Within the hour a talking head on Fox was trying to get an 'expert' to say that he was against his children ever playing that horridly barbaric sport football... Few facts and a lot of bloviating about the obvious that Bad Things Happenâ„¢. |

#2 A hard enough blow to the chest can stop the heart in an otherwise perfectly healthy person.... But CPR can restart it. As one of Mr. Wife’s uncles, after an excess of enthusiasm, was relieved to discover. 48 Hour Rule. But in the meantime, his GoFundMe for ToysForTots now exceeds the $2500 goal by over $2.1 million, thanks to generous fans. |
