- The curfew will be in place for 30 days in what Angela Alsobrooks, executive for Prince George's County, termed a 'cooling down' period
- Alsobrooks noted an 'eye-popping' 430 arrests of juveniles this year so far - nearly double the number last year
- There have also been 84 arrests of young people for carjackings so far this year - almost the same figure as for the entire 12 months of 2021
- Parents of young people found out after curfew will be fined and risk having their children taken into care if they do not respond to correspondence
