[NYPOST] Wednesday will be another day of dangerous, record-setting heat for millions of Americans from the Midwest to the Southeast.This will be especially dangerous for hundreds of thousands of people in the Ohio Valley who still don’t have power after a derecho punched through the region on Monday.
NOAA’s Weather Prediction Center says far-reaching Excessive Heat Warnings and Heat Advisories remain in place from Michigan to northern Florida as the extensive heat wave continues for another day.
In addition, the humidity will drive the heat index well above 100 degrees once again.
The NWS says the excessive heat will ease some as we get into Thursday across the upper Midwest, but much of the region will continue to see above-average, record-setting temperatures continuing through the end of the week.
Let’s take a closer look at some of the high temperatures on Wednesday.
Temperatures will generally be in the 90s across the region, with several areas getting to or above 100 degrees.
St. Louis and Nashville, Tennessee, for example, will see a high temperature Wednesday afternoon of 99 degrees.
