WASHINGTON, D.C. (LifeSiteNews) — The Biden administration declared that June will be called "Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, And Intersex Pride Month" in a proclamation released on Tuesday. Last year, "intersex" was not included in the proclamation.Intersex is a chromosomal defect that affects fewer than one percent of Americans.
"Today, the rights of LGBTQI+ Americans are under relentless attack. Members of the LGBTQI+ community — especially people of color and trans people — continue to face discrimination and cruel, persistent efforts to undermine their human rights," President Joe Biden’s proclamation stated.
He criticized the “onslaught of dangerous anti-LGBTQI+ legislation [that] has been introduced,” in apparent reference to laws or actions that prohibit the chemical and genital mutilation of minors. These laws are aimed at “targeting transgender children and their parents and interfering with their access to health care,” according to the president.
The Biden administration has released several documents that urge the chemical and genital mutilation of children who struggle with gender confusion. The guidance documents support the injection of children with irreversible puberty blockers as well as the surgical removal of healthy tissue and body parts.
