| Day 54 Battle of Donbas Seems to have begun |

| [MILITARYLAND] more at link More than 25k Russian troops have been mustered and attacks have begun at several points along the Donbas front. No breakthrough at last report, midnight local time. Ukraine believes main Russian effort will try to push south from Russian held Izium toward Ukraine held Slovyansk along a major highway (into what some people call the Ukraine held Donbas Salient). Some Ukraine elements in Mariupol still holding out. Russian forces attempted to take Oleksandrivka in the south but were repelled. Otherwise considerable shelling but little movement. |
