[Post Millenial via Rantingly]'LGBTQ2SIA+'?? YJCMTSUOregon’s Democrat Governor Kate Brown welcomed 'LGBTQ2SIA+' kids to Oregon in a video posted to social media Thursday, after Texas classified medical gender transition child abuse.
"To all the LGBTQ2SIA+ children and young people across our United States. I want you to know that you are seen, you are loved, and you matter." This after Texas said that medical transition of children, with cross-sex hormones and puberty blockers, is classified as child abuse.
LGBTQ2SIA+ has come to stand for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer or questioning, two spirit, intersex, allied or asexual, and more. Brown is regarded as the first openly bisexual Governor in the US.
Brown continued, "And to all Oregon’s youth, especially those who are trans, nonbinary, or questioning, the state of Oregon remains committed to honoring and protecting your right to be yourself."
Brown then attacked Texas Republican Governor Greg Abbott following his directive that ordered investigations into circumstances where Texas children had been subjected to "...a wide variety of elective procedures for gender transitioning, including reassignment surgeries that can cause sterilization, mastectomies, removals of otherwise healthy body parts, and administration of puberty-blocking drugs or supraphysiologic doses of testosterone or estrogen."
Brown added, "Texas Gov. Greg Abbott’s decision to remove trans kids from loving parents is especially cruel. This policy is another iteration of a long and painful history of discriminatory policies targeting our LGBTQ2SIA+ community."
On Wednesday, the Biden administration also pushed back against the order by updating Health and Human Services guidelines and sent a letter to child welfare agencies across the country opposing Abbott’s order.
