[WSBTV.com News Staff] COWETA COUNTY, Ga. — A Coweta County elementary school went into lockdown after police say a woman threatened to kill everyone inside the school following an incident at the bus stop.
According to police reports, 28-year-old Brittany Laparis Arnold was caught on surveillance camera shouting profanities at the monitor on her children’s school bus before letting them on board.
Later that day, Atkinson Elementary School Assistant Principal Monica Keel and Coweta County bus supervisor Fate Simmons made the decision not to allow Arnold’s children to ride the bus home that afternoon.
When Keel called Arnold to inform her she would need to pick her kids up from school, they were met with more profanity-laced shouting from Arnold, the police report states. It goes on to say that Arnold threatened to jump in front of the school bus and let it hit her before hanging up. |
