- A total of 1,185 migrants crossed Channel to the UK last Thursday, eclipsing the previous daily high of 853
- UK has repeatedly accused France of failing to act to stop the crossings - which have topped 20,000 this year
- Migrant told MailOnline how people traffickers don't get into boats themselves but help with the departure
- Came as French cops began clearing out the Grande-Synthe camp where 1,500 migrants were staying
