#5 an eleven minute flight most of which is unpleasant because of the accel or deccel just for a few moments of bliss when you see earth I'll have to admit that the time I saw a real live solar eclipse was fantastic but I only had to endure travel, traffic and parking problems to see it. |

#4 I'm all for sending the oligarchs into space. It's their return I have issues with. |

#3 Yawn. Call us when you can do real spaceflight: get to orbit and safely return in a fully man-rated spacecraft. Otherwise its just a glorified vomit comet ride. Right now, that's Soyuz/Shenzhou and Falcon9+Dragon. And after this stunt it will remain Soyuz/Shenzhou and Falcon9+Dragon. The only thing even close on the horizon is that Nasa corporate Boeing/Lockheed/Northrop bailout craft if it ever flies, and that crazy Heinlein rocket Elon Musk has down in Texas. My money is on Musk - with rockets looking and landing the way God and Heinlein intended them to. |
