NearÂly three dozen House DemocÂrats on MonÂday called on Biden to relinÂquish his sole authorÂiÂty to launch nuclear weapons, in the latÂest appeal to reform the comÂmand-and-conÂtrol strucÂture so that no sinÂgle perÂson can iniÂtiÂate a nuclear war.
"...VestÂing one perÂson with this authorÂiÂty entails real risks," states the letÂter spearÂheadÂed by Rep. JimÂmy PanetÂta of CalÂiÂforÂnia.
