Officers confronted Maye at the departure gate where he confirmed his identity. Officers then arrested Maye and turned him over to the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority Police.
"This arrest illustrates how Customs and Border Protection’s unique border security mission supports our law enforcement partners by intercepting wanted runaways allegedly fleeing prosecution and returning them to face their charges," said Casey Durst, CBP’s Director of Field Operations in Baltimore.
According to the Minneapolis Police Department, Maye is the suspect in the hit-and-run death of 31-year-old Idris Yussuf
