Screw the base by letting Adam Schiff do to the impeachment trial what Senate Democrats did to the Kavanaugh hearings, and Republicans will have hell to pay in November from their own base. It's like the vote on Kavanaugh in that way
This has been my concern despite all the "Murder Turtle" and "The Dems done messed up this time!" rhetoric.
It's only a problem for the Dems if they don't have the active cooperation of squids like Romney and Murky.
To say nothing of the "pragmatic" GOPers who always get hustled by the Donks in these types of negotiations.
