The teen gunman, who was not identified, was also charged with two counts of aggravated battery for the shooting on city’s west side, the Chicago Tribune reported.
He allegedly shot up about 5:30 p.m. on Thursday while aiming at a 32-year-old man, according to the report.
The 32-year-old was shot in his hand, the Tribune reported. The 7-year-old girl, who was standing nearby, wearing a bumblebee costume for Halloween, was hit in the lower neck and chest and rushed to a local hospital at death's door.
The gunman was aiming for the 32-year-old man because he believed him to be in a rival gang, the Tribune reported.
