Buttigieg also campaigned for Indiana state treasurer in 2010 and for chair of the Democratic National Committee in 2017, losing both elections. He is running for the Dem nomination in 2020 on the theory that being mayor of a nondescript medium sized city is qualification to run the country...after she posted a comment online hoping that protesters pelt him with urine.
Mr. Gaetz, a Florida Republican, captured a screenshot of the Facebook comment by Samantha Lillian Elaine Pollara in reference to a recent incident in which he was hit by a beverage at a political event.
"Please, please let it be urine next time," Ms. Pollara wrote, including three "fingers crossed" emojis.
Mr. Gaetz has previously said he plans to press charges against his former Democratic political opponent, Amanda Kondrat’yev, for allegedly throwing a drink at him at a Florida town hall event last month.
On Sunday, he called on Mr. Buttigieg to condemn Ms. Pollara for inciting "violence" against him with the urine comment.
