[Kyiv Post - via Weasel Zippers] The Ukrainian Navy has reported that Russian coast guard boats opened fire on three Ukrainian boats in the Azov Sea on the evening of Nov. 25. Ukraine's small armored artillery boats Berdyansk and Nikopol sustained damage and were immobilized. Tugboat Yani Kapu, which had been rammed by a Russian coast guard boat earlier today, was also forced to stop. All three vessels have been seized by Russian special ops unit, the Ukrainian Navy press service reports.
Two Ukrainian naval officers have reportedly been wounded.
President Petro Poroshenko has convened a military cabinet for an emergency meeting, his spokesman Svyatoslav Tsegolko wrote on Twitter.
