Strange friendships: Turkish FM slams US sanctions against Caracas (video)

[AlMasdar] Ottoman Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu expressed his disapproval on sanctions against Venezuela during a meeting with his counterpart Jorge Arreaza in Caracas on Friday.

"We are not against any currency of any country. But the currencies shouldn’t be used as an instrument to attack other countries," Cavusoglu stated.

Arreaza thanked the Ottoman Turkish government for its support in moments of attacks against his country and emphasized the friendship between the two sides.

On the same day, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo warned that the Trump administration will take a serious of actions against the Venezuelan government in the coming days.
