Democrats, though, want Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA), the chairman of the committee, to postpone the vote until Ford’s allegations are investigated.
"To railroad a vote now would be an insult to the women of America and the integrity of the Supreme Court," Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) said in a statement.
At least one Republican indicated a willingness to hear more from Ford before the judiciary committee votes on Thursday.
"If Ms. Ford wishes to provide information to the committee, I would gladly listen to what she has to say and compare that against all other information we have received about Judge Kavanaugh," Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) Surprise!

The FBI responded that the don't investigate sexual assaults and furthermore went on to state that a 37 year old allegation is way past the statute of Limitations for a Maryland DA to investigate and or prosecute.
