shooting at a kid's birthday party left seven people maimed, one critically, early Sunday morning, Fox News reported.
It is unclear what sparked the incident, but police reported that the attackers arrived at the scene in west suburban Aurora on bikes and foot and fired multiple rounds before fleeing.
"The only suspect information we were able to gather is that the shots were fired by several males dressed in dark hooded sweatshirts," The Aurora Police department said on Facebook, adding that it appeared as if someone at the party returned fire.
The department noted that party attendees were "largely uncooperative."
