| Assad's militia commander: 'Israel is attacking the Syrian army in the south of the country' |

| A commander of the Golan unit in the Homeland Security Forces, a militia of Syrian President Bashar Assad, claimed that Israel had been attacking the Syrian army's defense lines in the south for the last three days. Majed Haimoud, who was interviewed by the Iranian news agency Fars, added that Israel is using guided missiles, drones and artillery to help the rebels. Militia officials accused Israel on Sunday of attacking a Syrian army camp in northern Kuneitra and liquidating three of their men. |
