| 1 dead in bomb attack in Sowaib area (IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – A security source announced on Sunday, that seven people had been either killed or wounded in a bomb blast near shops southwest of Baghdad. The source said in a statement obtained by IraqiNews.com, “This morning, a bomb exploded near shops in Sowaib area southwest of Baghdad, killing one person and injuring six others.” The source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, added, “Ambulances rushed to the incident area and transferred the wounded to a nearby hospital and the dead body to the forensic medicine department, while a security force opened an investigation into the incident and cordoned off the area.” |
