| Two village security guards shot in southern Thailand |

| [Bangkok Post] Two men on a village security team were wounded in an armed attack in Muang district on Saturday night. While Wijin Boontharik and Anan Boontharik were returning to a village, their vehicle was attacked by militants hidden along the roadside with military-grade weapons. Mr Wijin took a bullet in his right leg while Mr Anan was hit in his ribcage. Their vehicle was riddled with bullet holes. |
