| Six defense volunteers injured in ambush |

| [Bangkok Post] Six village defense volunteers were injured, four of them seriously, in an ambush in Yala province on Saturday night. The incident happened at 8 p.m. in Bannang Sata district. While the volunteers were returning from a wedding, militants hiding along the roadside opened fire upon them. A 10-minute exchange of gunfire followed before the militants retreated into the dark. |
