BLUF [Investor's Business Daily] They know that crime is out of control in the black community. They know that, as the Justice Department clearly reports, blacks commit a startling 53% of the nation's murders and that 91% of blacks who are murdered are murdered not by whites but by other blacks.
But instead of solving the growing problem of black crime, they put the blame on police, who like Ramos and Liu are often dispatched to the black community to protect law-abiding blacks from thugs. And they invite Sharpton and other high priests of hate to the White House to gin up grievances against white cops.
Obama was faced with flash points in Ferguson and Staten Island, and earlier in Sanford, Fla., and instead of taking the responsible route and letting the facts play out in these cases, he and his attorney general poured gasoline on them by claiming that law enforcement officers had it in for blacks.
They don't, but Obama and Holder clearly have it in for law enforcement. And now they've put targets on officers' backs.

| Here's where the libertarian in me comes out: I'd look at the "community leaders" and say fine, we'll pull the police out of your neighborhoods. In return you 1) police yourselves and 2) follow the same laws doing so as the police. We'll see how long it'd take for the community leaders to invite the police back in. |
