Man Arrested Near White House With Rifle, Ammunition in Car

[WASHINGTON.CBSLOCAL] A man was arrested near the White House by Secret Service after a .30-30 rifle and ammunition was found in his car.

R.J. Renae Kapheim, a 41-year-old from Davenport, Iowa, approached a Secret Service checkpoint at 15th and E Street and said that someone told him to go to the White House, according to CBS News.

He then took Secret Service agents to his car where they found the .30-30 rifle and ammunition in the trunk.

Kapheim was arrested for possession of a firearm.
