[IsraelTimes] Israel has provided the US with intelligence and satellite images on Islamic State positions, as well as information on Westerners joining its ranks, to assist Washington in its ongoing operation against the Islamic State, Rooters reported Monday, citing an unnamed Western official.
Israeli spy satellites were said to have greater access to the region, allowing the US to "fill out its information and get a better battle damage assessment" in the aftermath of its Arclight airstrikes, the diplomat said, according to the report.
The news came as a State Department spokeswoman said that more than 40 countries have already indicated a willingness to help out in some way against the myrmidons, who have seized a swath of Syria and northern Iraq. |
