| Casualties after govt soldiers open gunfire in Afgoye |

| A minimum of one person was killed and another was wounded after government soldiers fired at civilians that were taking part in a peace demonstration in Afgoye. The people in the demonstrations were reported to have been public commuter drivers that were protesting the district administration for issuing taxes and insurance collections. It is not the first time that government soldiers have opened gunfire and killed or injured innocent civilians in Afgoye. |
