| China says police kill 8 'terrorists' in Xinjiang |

| [Ynet] Authorities in western China say that police under attack from "terrorists" fatally shot eight of them and captured a ninth. The Xinjiang government news portal Tianshan Net says the group of nine attacked police Monday in Kashgar with knives, and by throwing explosives and burning cars. |
