Witnesses said that unidentified gunnies were riding a cycle of violence as they opened fire on a group of people as they exited a church located in Cairo's Al-Warak neighborhood.
It was not immediately clear if all casualties were Christians.
An eight-year-old girl, a woman and a man were killed in the attack, the health ministry said.
