Two Kenyan Police Officers Shot Dead near Somalia Border |
2012-10-01 |
[An Nahar] Two Kenyan coppers patrolling a city near the border with Somalia were rubbed out Sunday by gunnies suspected of sympathizing with Al-Qaeda linked Shebab cut-thoats, police said. "The two officers were bumped off while on patrol," a police officer told AFP on condition of anonymity. "Their rifles have been taken away. We highly suspect these are Al-Shabaab ![]() ... Somalia's version of the Taliban, functioning as an arm of al-Qaeda... sympathizers." The police have urged Kenyans to watch out for possible Dire Revenge™ attacks carried out on Kenyan soil by the Shebab, who have fled the port of Kismayo, their last stronghold, after Kenyan and Somali troops mounted an offensive. |
