| One policeman killed, 3 injured in Dagestan attack |

| One police officer was killed and three others injured when their patrol in town of Khasavyurt in Dagestan was attacked late on August 25. The police officers were investigating a tip that a suspect was nearby and when they approached a bridge in the town, they came under fire. Police and security forces are searching for the attackers. |
