| 2 Qaeda leaders arrested in Wassit |

| WASSIT / Aswat al-Iraq: A security force arrested two Qaeda leaders north of the province, security sources said today. The source told Aswat al-Iraq that a force from the Interior Ministry arrested the two in Suwaira area, 135 km north of Kut city. The operation was carried out according to arrest warrants according to anti-terrorism clauses. Kut, the center of Wassit province, lies 180 km south east of the capital, Baghdad. |
