| 6 bodyguards of former speaker wounded in Baghdad |

| BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: Six bodyguards of former parliament’s speaker, Mahmoud al-Mashhadani, were wounded Monday when a mortar shell hit his house in Baghdad, an official source said. “A mortar shell hit the house of former Parliament’s Speaker, Mahmoud al-Mashhadni, inside the Green Zone in central Baghdad, ” the source told Aswat al-Iraq news agency. “The attack wounded six bodyguards,” he added, without giving further details. |
